The paranormal is an area of the occult that is very ambiguous. How do you really define it and how does it fit in with the Craft?*Please note this area is under construction* Firstly, we are all born with a psychic ability - e.g. last night I was driving home and crossed a railway crossing. Before I got to the crossing I just knew that as I was slowly going over it that the alarms would sound and the barriers would start to come down. And they did! One could say that I knew the time of the trains - in fact I never take any notice of them. Again the arguement could be that subconsciously I knew a train was due - maybe! Also, there are those who would say that I probably think this thought everytime I drive over the crossing and it's a one in several million chance that it happened as the theory of probabilty meant it would happen one day! It's wonderful how science can explain everything away! I recently read that scientists now believe that people never feel "presences" of ghosts or other such phenomena, their brain plays tricks on them. This is fine if you take a group of people to a supposedly haunted house, tell them there is a resident ghost and bingo - each one will feel some sort of presence. Even just taking them to a creepy place and saying nothing would give similar results! The power of suggestion. But how do you explain away an item flying across a room, a dog or cat appearing scared for no reason, loosing no time at all on a journey - yet seeming to take forever? This section will, hopefully, grow into a separate area of MoonMagik - but will be totally relevant to your learning and study. We will cover dreams, fortune telling, paranormal and ghostly activity, ESP and De Ja Vous. I will give you things to try out yourself and also recommend good books for reading.
